CASE STUDY: An Awkward 60's "Colonial" - with a clumsy room layout |
|
When they bought it, they disliked a lot of things about the existing layouts... |
|
The FAMILY ROOM was a big
awkward space KITCHEN & DINING
ROOMS were too small LIVING ROOM was awkward ~
had become just a passageway to the terrific SOLARIUM (with 9-foot ceilings) the ENTRY was narrow - and ceilings throughout
were only 7.5 feet high

And UPSTAIRS... the ceilings were even
lower several bedrooms had
awkward shapes and even though they
liked the MASTER SUITE, its long hallway was dark and the 4th BEDROOM was too narrow because of it. |
